My "system" of buying wines because I like their name or how their label looks and then letting them sit for several years because, really, my wine buying rate and my wine consumption rate are out of sync pays off again
Oh my god, -t, are you me?
We bought crown royal (blech) today, but it's maple-infused. It'll be AWESOME for butterscotch, but it is not good drinking. However, I just made a dutch baby and replaced the sugar with maple sugar and maple-infused whisky. Delish.
Nummy toes?
They always take them back!
Oh, but it comes in a bag that's great for microphones! (Has totally bought booze for the packaging alone before.)

Oh my god. Words fail me.
Crown Royal bags are primo for holding dice. I have been told.
The maple finished crown royal has a brown bag instead of blue. It is awesome.
Neat! I might have to look for that. Because I need more whiskey? Well, if I start making butterscotch I will. And, I just remembered, I somewhat randomly have chocolates meant to be paired with whiskey in my freezer.
BTW, dark chocolate + zinfandel = yum. Really brings out the peppery finish.
I love Crown but not the maple stuff.
I should really learn from the years of having flavored vodka sitting in my freezer so that I was unwilling to buy good old Monopolowa to make pie crusts but also unwilling to make cherry-flavored pie crusts.
Airplane bottles are your friends.
I put the maple crown in butterscotch. YUM. Then I poured the butterscotch in a cup with some milk and selzer and ice, like an egg cream, but more like a harry potter butterbeer version.
