Yeah, that's something you'd think the parent would be consulted about.
Pies are finished and cooling. We shall see.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I forgot we get Christmas fireworks in this neighborhood. Sorry, dog.
Christmas Eve service completed. Mom and I lost it at communion and mac made me hightail it out of there at the end so he would not start getting sad. Holidays are gonna be hard for my mom for a few years.
Anyway, that is done and now more cooking. I am trying to make the pioneer woman's cinnamon rolls for the first time. I left them to rise while we were at church and….no rising. I wonder how bad these might be.
You got bisquik int the cabinets? You can always throw together something else.
My SIL is the biggest Xmas person in this family but due to the drama of the last month, she's barely there. But the drama here has a prize rather than a missing. Plus she's getting free labor.
Just got the tickets for The Hobbit tomorrow on the theatre website. Reserved seats in the front row handicapped section. Truly we live in a golden age.
DH and I just watched the first three eps of the new Community,
So jealous. So very jealous.
and OMG you guys, my show is BACK! Dan Harmon in the driver's seat and suddenly all the characters have shaken off the off-ness of last season and are back to being themselves.
SO HAPPY!!! SO VERY HAPPY!!!
The child is in no hurry to go to bed. meanwhile I still need to clean up his gift and wrap it. I m not pushing to hard though, because I think this may mean that he will sleep in a bit and since I am setting my alarm, I might actually get some breakfast cooked before mom and dad come over for gifts.
We had a very nice Christmas eve dinner where I almost ate the bouquet garni. Christmas cracker crowns all around and very cheery. Emmett's sleeping on the couch and Matilda is on a pile of blankets beside him, in the glow of the Christmas tree.
We had pears poached in caramel sauce for dessert which was just as good as it sounds.
We ate lots of shrimp and watched Hysteria. And drank wine. Good Christmas Eve
We had a nice vegetarian dinner with multiple dogs almost behaving themselves: [link]
Now I'm off to bed so I can get up early for what promising to be a long and possibly exhausting day. I wonder if I can schedule a nap for early afternoon...
