Just got the tickets for The Hobbit tomorrow on the theatre website. Reserved seats in the front row handicapped section. Truly we live in a golden age.

The child is in no hurry to go to bed. meanwhile I still need to clean up his gift and wrap it. I m not pushing to hard though, because I think this may mean that he will sleep in a bit and since I am setting my alarm, I might actually get some breakfast cooked before mom and dad come over for gifts.

We had a very nice Christmas eve dinner where I almost ate the bouquet garni. Christmas cracker crowns all around and very cheery. Emmett's sleeping on the couch and Matilda is on a pile of blankets beside him, in the glow of the Christmas tree.
We had pears poached in caramel sauce for dessert which was just as good as it sounds.

And yes, we have a lot. My sister has two, I have one, my Dad has one. My oldest brother has two, and my middle brother has two. Which means that the dogs in the family I grew up in (not counting offspring and spouses) outnumber the people...
