good luck with moving, Sarameg!
Whelp. We bought a car-payment last night. The scion came back from repairs after the smooshing the other week and within a day the check engine light went on. Need one reliable car that doesn't suck in weather, my brain said, loudly, and boom. done.
It is dark grey, a forrester with zero options. We have named it Fezzik.
The worst/best part of holidays is we stay up all god damn night drinking and talking.
Signed, went to bed at 7:30, what the F am I doing up now? Oh right, big ass to-do list.
Good luck with all of that, Sara! My cousin's oldest is 15 today! Holy crap.
I am READY. I just need to shower, but really I think that's it.
Damn, Brenda. That's up late! I feel like I haven't slept in because of the dang time change--I've been sleeping until 10 every morning, but still manage to feel like I'm waking up hella early. Oh well--that'll make me feel super wakey when I get home to the west coast, right?
Yay new car for Christmas, Sox? Um, even if unplanned.
Sister and I have to figure out what we are doing for dinner. Family doesn't really have many (any?) Christmas traditions, and mom recently went vegetarian/low-fat after a heart procedure, Dad and BIL are diabetic, and all of us are fat kids who want cookies. What to eat for dinner? Current plans are "quinoa salad with beans/avocado/peppers/feta" for mom and "salad of some kind?" Dad asked for filet mignon last night, when I asked him. Um. Sister wants to make mashed potatoes. I'm not sure how these things will go together.
Honestly, steak, mashed potatoes, and a salad sounds like a classic meal. Add the quinoa, and it's modern!
Happy Christmas Eve everyone! I am off to the zoo!
am still in pjs, but have taken multiple work calls and emails this morning. boo boo boo. I am putting down my hours and getting Holiday pay for this GD it. (today IS a Holiday at my company).
I need to shower, get to grocery store and pick up the pictures I had printed last night. Then I might actually cook and bake.
We have a nine pound ham if anyone wants to come over.
There's a place in my hood that's been there since the 40s that sells hams, mustard, and recently smoked turkeys. And when you only plan a few days ahead nine lbs is the smallest you can get. But it's so delicious!
There will be three of us for dinner. I told them to stock up on Tupperware.
I would like some ham! We're having boeuf bourgignon tonight and turkey tomorrow.
That's a lot of ham! Yum.
Lost LDB at the grocery store. I almost didn't notice, but I was singing along and the lyrics eventually registered.
