All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Those photos are all adorbs, msbelle.

I finally got my car back around 4pm. The rim was okay, but the alignment needed work. I am now looking at two days with family between driving days instead of the five days originally planned.

Coined tonight: buggle: What happens when you laugh so hard you fart.

Why yes, 11 year old in the house.

Close Friday. Might be sleeping there starting that night.

Sand I just figured out I got my eldest nephew virtually nothing. Sigh. GC to Walmart or best buy tomorrow. In my defense, I got the Tyler list.

My nephew turns 11 today! I'm not sure how that happened. Watching him & my brother goofing around last night ( buggle!) I was struck with holy shit, that's not a little boy AT ALL. He's gonna be as tall as Josh soon. Plus, already signs of teenhood emerging, good and bad.

Both boys start at a new elem. this year ( on account of the move) but D starts middle next.

In moving news, think we may be moving furniture on Xmas... The majority of the boxes are moved, we're living off paper plates and takeout and wine. The adults, with the latter.

not your mom's socks.

good luck with moving, Sarameg!

Whelp. We bought a car-payment last night. The scion came back from repairs after the smooshing the other week and within a day the check engine light went on. Need one reliable car that doesn't suck in weather, my brain said, loudly, and boom. done.

It is dark grey, a forrester with zero options. We have named it Fezzik.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck with all of that, Sara! My cousin's oldest is 15 today! Holy crap.

I am READY. I just need to shower, but really I think that's it.

meara - Dec 24, 2013 5:59:31 am PST #15398 of 30000

Damn, Brenda. That's up late! I feel like I haven't slept in because of the dang time change--I've been sleeping until 10 every morning, but still manage to feel like I'm waking up hella early. Oh well--that'll make me feel super wakey when I get home to the west coast, right?

Yay new car for Christmas, Sox? Um, even if unplanned.

Sister and I have to figure out what we are doing for dinner. Family doesn't really have many (any?) Christmas traditions, and mom recently went vegetarian/low-fat after a heart procedure, Dad and BIL are diabetic, and all of us are fat kids who want cookies. What to eat for dinner? Current plans are "quinoa salad with beans/avocado/peppers/feta" for mom and "salad of some kind?" Dad asked for filet mignon last night, when I asked him. Um. Sister wants to make mashed potatoes. I'm not sure how these things will go together.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Honestly, steak, mashed potatoes, and a salad sounds like a classic meal. Add the quinoa, and it's modern!
