This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I seriously was afraid of both the monkey bars and the slide as a child. There is no way I can do any of this.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I would join in this conversation but I have to go climb a ladder.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've still never been able to do a somersault.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We totally used a zipline as transportation during the summer we were at the big camp. We had to con campers into carrying our gear back to the start for us, but hey! It was way faster than walking and we'd been ziplining all summer.

brillig

I love heights, but I get the fear of falling off something high, coupled with a suspicion that the monkey brain is shrieking "Go for it! Jump! It'll be awesome while it lasts!" I have freaked out people I've been with re: heights.

Hubby didn't have a fear of heights till he suffered inner ear damage in a firefighter chopper crash. I've seen studies that a lot of the space-related phobias are related to such damage.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have much more fear of mechanical failure than fear of heights. But also a large streak of fatalism, so maybe I could manage to force myself onto one of those clear thingies.

Although I actually have a stronger reaction to other people being near edges of cliffs and whatnot, so if there was a crowd that would probably be bad for me.

The Branson thing is from an April fools day missive.

Right after I posted I really did climb a ladder to hang a light and some publicity dude was shooting video of me. I hope he gets stuff more interesting than that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

One problem with buying presents online is when they arrive and look small and stupid. @@

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Munroe's lurking again. [link]

That is awesome.
