They have that at the Sears Tower.
What they don't have is a way to zipline from building to building to cross the Loop. Get on that, Rahm.

Le nub, I have no fear of heights in generally but I definitely have that weird pull that makes me scared I'll jump.

I would do that in a heartbeat.

Mostly this, for me. I'm more unsettled by being on top of a ladder than a giant height, but the result from jumping off a ladder (or falling off a balcony) is known. When confronted with a great height, my brain goes, "I wonder..."
The word zipline makes my hands and feet sweat.
I could try a zipline, I think. It's because I know I'm not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of falling. Once the monkey brain is assured that all the straps & connections are firm, I can get it to settle down.
Imagine what it would have been like to descend the stairs from a zeppelin to the top of the Empire State building. Probably just as well those plans were abandoned.
The difference for me is that I would assume the glass box wouldn't fall apart. But grates rattle, etc., so I'm always sure when I step on one that it's going to open or break or something.
A zipline I could do as long as someone gave me a push, I think.
I did an upsidedown zipline once. That was some freaky awesome shit.
A zipline commuter service would be perfect for North Beach. Or meara's neighborhood in Seattle.
