What? She killed 'em with mathematics. What else could it have been?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It sounds reasonable? Donating them all together as a set might also make sense. I feel like a bag full of curtains is something I've sold while volunteering at a thrift store. Or maybe at a garage sale. The point being, someone might want them, I guess.

Depending on the cloth, people who make costumes adore curtains. "I saw it in the window and had to have it."

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Is there any organization near you that helps settle displaced or newly arrived families, Jesse? A full set of nice curtains might be appealing to them.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Took me a minute to get it, but even the cats from Two Lumps listen to Welcome to Night Vale (well, at least Benny does): [link]

I was wondering what that was about.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, that's a good idea, Trudy. There is a place like that my mother has been taking stuff. So I can put this on her to-do list instead of mine!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My dad's in the ER again. Same as last time: he was exhibiting signs of a stroke but it turned out to just be dehydration.

My siblings are going to have a talk with the nursing home (where he's been recovering from the surgery) about why they can't seem to keep him hydrated.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It may be time to look into another nursing home ASAP. It may just be that he's a difficult patient, but it could also be bad nursing.

The only other nursing home close by is the one my dad doesn't want to go to because of poor care he received there. So I dunno what we're gonna do. Maybe one in Appleton (45 minutes away) would be better despite the distance.
