Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I apparently have to hire someone ASAP, so I got access to the HR system, and man, are there a lot of terrible cover letters out there. There was also a note warning the reader away from a person who applies for every job here and was escorted out of a past job by security.

Also, it is snowing like crazy, but I think not accumulating too much yet? No one is ever getting home tonight.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I gained 100 pounds over the last 23 years, yo-yoing like you do, and yet my BP has always been around 120/80.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It's kind of weird being inside a house that's being power-washed.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's kind of weird being inside a house that's being power-washed.

I'm imagining it kind of like going through an automated car wash, but without the conveyor belt thingie.

I was trying to think of a kitchen appliance to compare it to, but I couldn't come up with anything that didn't end badly.

Punishingly Intricate

I am trying not to be proactively anxious about being moved into a new space we are getting that evidently has no windows. I don't know for sure my team will be moved there and, if we are, that the space won't be reconfigured by the time we move. But if it happens I'm going to be really pissed and sad about losing my current window situation!!!

brillig

I so hope I get a window in our new building. Or at least a seat away from the supervisors' offices

I know I'm pretty lucky and it may seem petty to complain (about something that may not happen) when I have a physically easy job for which I'm well compensated but still...it will make me pretty unhappy.
