I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

Finally watching Scandal. Oh, Sally.

Hello from 2014! Well pretend 2014 anyway. Party was fun, lots of filmmakers there. So I ended up chatting with a carpenter. All the desserts sparkled...it was odd.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, the thought I had from Scandal (aside from "wow, they went there") was - I wish Quinn would remember that Olivia recruited her, not Huck. She was kind of awesome removing the tracker, though, that's probably the best I've liked her.

Also - woo, meara, doing all that house stuff and also getting to the party! Go you!

I'm a bit confused by the whole Quinn thing. Like, is she going one way, or the other? Why do I care? I kinda don't, but I could've, and I feel like the back and forth sorta ruined it.

That said, I did love the whole Cyrus/Sally thing, and the what-his-face/Sally "call me FIRST" thing but want it to be the Cyrus/Mellie show all the time. Or just go back to more Scandal-of-the-Week, and less Olivia drama.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, you told us what everybody else had, but forgot to mention what your soup of choice was?

Gar, I am sad to report that the chef got no soup that night. I think I had a spinach salad with tuna and hard boiled egg.

But I still have my turkey stock saved from Thanksgiving, and will be making a turkey soup tomorrow.

Matilda is having a sleepover, so Emmett and JZ and I immediately put in The Ref and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Also, I was instructed to do something fancy with the popcorn so did a mixture of parmesan and cayenne that was soooo good. (copied from our hosts before we saw The Hobbit)

Not that I should, since my to-do list is longer than ever, but the more I think about it the more I think making 30 minutes a day to read y'all's words is worth the priority. Better than io9 comments, anyway, which currently waste enough of my time.

I was going to raise an eyebrow at this but then I saw that the alternative was io9, and I can support us being more time-wasting-worthy. Do it!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We are definitely more worthy than io9!

I guess I have to go out and shovel, but now I wish I had done it overnight, when it was cold and powdery. Now it is warm and slushy, apparently! Yuk.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Seven degree here in Shawano--we got an inch or two of snow last night. i'll be leaving for Chicago in a bit, where it's 15.

Snowpocalypse only began here around dawn. But it is supposed to change to rain, so I have to shovel before that happens.
