Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I'm so sorry, Jesse. I'm glad that it was peaceful.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I will say, this cold is not helping anything.

Yeah, extra snot producing capabilities on top of prime snot-producing circs is a major snotfest. Plus, feeling stupid. Buy stock in kleenex. Or buy kleenex. And anti-hs and decongestants. And teabags. Cause tea helps all sorts of ways.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Jesse, (and for the cold)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I found some ancient nighttime cold meds! So that's a start.

Nyquil shots! It takes away the pain. And the brain.

Cold meds are good!

In random news, I realized on the drive home today that one of the reasons I tend to listen to the 70s station more than the 80's ( I still have the SitiousXm trial that came with the car) is that the 70s songs are mostly before my musical time, but with the 80"s I can get hit with things like Run DMC"s version of walk this way being released 27 years ago, which makes me feel really really old

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks for sharing the feeling old, Lee?

Yay, cold meds! I feel like crying a lot has sometimes helped me get over colds, fwtw. Like how neti pots might, I guess, just increasing the flow, as it were.
