And thanks, folks. It's been a hell of a year. I'm considering writing a holiday letter to go in my cards, and it just stumps me, because there's basically no good news. I don't think I can do it.

I had an ex get in touch with me and want to catch up after we'd lost contact for a couple of years. It was totally welcome but I had to put a huge disclaimer at the beginning that was basically, "Yes a lot of this sucks but it happened and so I am telling you. I am still really glad we're catching up even though reading this is going to be hard for you and it was hard to write (and live through) for me."

Things I can figure out how to do with my new Blu-Ray player: watch Netflix, watch Amazon streaming movies, listen to Pandora, watch Hulu shows, browse the web. Things I cannot figure out how to do: watch a DVD.

Edit: OK, I figured it out. Had to open and close the disc drawer again.

ESPN and ABC are all part of Disney, right? Or whatever the umbrella is. I think I get the local broadcast on The CW, which seems peculiar, too.
