I wonder if that opening scene was *less* horrifying if you watch it regularly.
Having just watched that scene, I'm gonna say - not less horrifying, exactly, but less surprising, probably. Because how very fucked up Scandal is is a large part of its charm, really. Also Olivia's coats. Her wardrobe in general is pretty great, but her coats are really wonderful.
Snowpocalypse-shopping would explain why the supermarket seemed so full of bewildered shoppers. I figured it was me tottering around under the influence of OTC drugs that warn you not to operate heavy machinery (but not shopping carts). The guy ahead of me in line at the checkout toted up $154.80 worth of groceries, and I, zombielike, had my card out, stretching slowly towards the swiper before I realized what I was doing.
Oh yeah, Scandal was extra horrifying this week. Yikes. Did y'all see that they are cutting the season short? Apparently so they don't have to hide the pregnancy even more.
Snowpocalypse indeed. I don't think they expected it to be snowing like *this*. Roads are closed and there are accidents all over, nothing's been brined or plowed. Yikes.

Precipitation seems to have stopped. Streets here are mostly just wet, I see a few cars zipping by on the main road. It's supposed to get to 45degF tomorrow, so it'll all be gone, but tonight when it freezes it's going to be dangerous. I hope my family decides to stay in DC instead of coming home after the game. But they won't, of course.
Power is back on thank goodness. The house was starting to get mighty cold.

Yes!! Roommate tried on a sweater-coat-poncho-thing at the store last weekend, and i was like "It's pretty, very Olivia Pope, not sure it's you..."

Ooh, I did not. Interesting. I was wondering if they'd hid, or write it in somehow (I mean, c'mon, what's one more crazy "Oh shit she's pregnant" among the other drama going on? It could TOTALLY be a storyline)

I too, think of Steph every time I see Mallomars. Possibly because until that conversation, I'd never noticed or heard of them before. (I have tried one since...not my thing.)
