I do not know the "year round food" story.
WAYYYYY back in the day (seriously, it was 2001), I was in New York and got to meet a huge contingent of Buffistas in person for the first time. So we all go out to brunch, and -- it was October -- talk turns to Mallomars, and the fact that they're *back* in the stores. And I was all "What do you mean, 'they're back'?" So they explain that Mallomars are only seasonal b/c the chocolate melts or something (which, it was the 21st goddamn century and air-conditioning exists in both stores AND delivery trucks, AND other chocolate foodstuffs are in stores year-round, so: POINT).
But I, because I am horrifically socially awkward and was nervous because I was meeting, like, 500 new people all at once, said, "Huh. In Ohio, we have food year-round."
t crickets
Apparently in New York, they do not. Foot, mouth. Hello, NYC-istas, nice to meetcha. Let me insult your regional food.
Glad you're all OK, at least, Sox.
"It feels just like a sweater!"
I bet it did! Heh.
Oh, Sox. Maybe you can go nap in the IKEA? I totally forgot about your reading last night, damnit.
It's really coming down now (somehow even heavier!) so I hope you just hole up. I can't imagine 95 getting much better today.
That's kind of a relief. I thought it was part of the show and that was really disturbing.
Ha! There may be other productions in town to try pushing boundaries like that but this one is considered sacrosanct by far too many people.
For any other show those are the star dressing rooms, so I end up with people like Diane Lane asking me for office supplies.
Going to go see if the pool is open. If nothing else, a scenic walk!
I wish I'd gone to bed earlier so I would have gotten up earlier and finished my shopping before it started snowing. But nooo, now I have to trudge around in the snow.
It is supposed to get up to 38 here today, but it has been hovering at 30 for 2 hours now. DAMN IT! I need to go out. I need sinus meds and bread and dog food, probably milk also. mac is dying for NOT FOOD AT HOME, spoiled little monster (kidding, he has been great what with stuck inside for 3 days). Walgreens is only about 10 blocks away and Target is only a parking lot away from that. I mostly fear the parking lots. I have both sand and salt I can use on my driveway. If I get out and it is not too bad, I predict wings in our future.
Would have been excellent to see you, Sarameg - but we'll be back. Napping at IKEA sounds awesome. Considering seeing Frozen because Irony.
It's 25 degrees here. And, my power just went out.
