"There was one lady, the most beautiful one. I think she was here all the time." "Yes, Louisa." That was a ridiculously stupid line that I'm very glad was not in the movie.

I'm going to have to find a way to watch the movie now. I love the dance scene in the movie. So much simmering tension.
Oh, god, the tiniest child cannot sing.
Oh, god, the tiniest child cannot sing.
Which is odd. I just looked her up, and she's done a bunch of shows with Random Farms Kids Theater in Westchester, and the kids in those productions are usually really good.
Maybe she just had trouble hearing. It's a shame, because it's such a big moment.
I like the girl playing Brigitta. The script doesn't really give the girl playing Marta much to work with -- even in the scene where Maria is listing things about all the kids, she says "And I don't know about Marta yet, but someone has to find out about her." Also, Gretl was hitting her notes much better in this last scene, so I figure it probably was some kind of sound issue in "So Long, Farewell."
I think I'm turning it off now, before I can be sad that "Something Good" isn't in it. That's one of my favorite scenes.
Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in that wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth
My Arkansas cousins are bracing for Icepocalypse, apparently.
Yeah, they're predicting freezing rain and sleet that may lay down 1-1.5 inches of ice overnight. My boss told everyone to take our computers home so we don't have to drive in to the office via hilly, curvy roads through the woods when the power situation is uncertain at best.
However, this did underline to me the major disadvantage of having a gigantic new tower rather than the iMac it replaced. I am not going to make a habit of hoisting that thing up 26 steps when there's bad weather in the forecast.
I hate that song, because the Captain just agrees that she must have done something good to deserve him.
Okay, I accidentally had the beginning of Scandal on instead of Elementary, and didn't realize it was the wrong show, since Elementary generally opens with a creepy/disturbing/horrible crime, and there was indeed a creepy disturbing horrible crime. And then the title card for Scandal came on, and I realized it was the wrong show. So I just want to know:
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH SCANDAL????? That was horrifying.
