These girls have the most beautiful dresses. And so do I -- how about that?

I am perfectly happy to lose out on WTF Cold! poker.

Of course, with it being witch tit cold, the snow isn't melting off the trees, and it's spectacularly gorgeous glittering in the sunlight.

And being the famous dry Utah snow, threads of the stuff crawl across the pavement as it's blown around. I love watching it catch in the breeze and sparkle--from inside, where it's kind of warm as I stand in the sunbeam coming in through the window!

edit: Good God, I just checked the weather bug, it's gone down 2 degrees! We're at 1 degree!

Hah, Connie - I just checked and we have gotten warmer...we are up to 3 degrees! The snow is piled up outside and I can only imagine the ice on the roads. I have a meeting tonight and just asked for a ride from a friend with a 4x4. I still need to put my winter tires on my car. Maybe this weekend.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I don't know if anyone would be interested in this, but I just recently got into Zombies, Run!, which is a smartphone app that incentivizes exercise by way of an ongoing storyline and periodic zombie chases. I wrote up a bigass overview on my DWJ: [link]

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Consuela, I have friends who use that app, and they've recommended it to me (except I don't run, because of my back; I only walk). Would it work for someone who walks rather than runs?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, I have actual work to do still, and I DON'T WANNA! Bleh.

Because books.

Me, too! (Interested in the zombie running app, I mean.) Although I don't run because my lungs would probably explode within two blocks.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I am constantly surprised when I encounter serious incompetence. I'm about ready to march into another office and give them a lecture about HOW THINGS SHOULD BE DONE. Is it a sign I am an optimist when I am surprised so often?

Or something else.

Is this in the DSM 4?

I think it is a sign of an optimist, and probably a good thing? Especially if you do actually lecture the people!

OK, at least I have one Christmas present purchased.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

My dean is telling me not to lecture people. Everyone is on notice: when I hit age 50 (in about 5 years), I will no longer have fucks to give.

Because books.

Is that the magic age when you can lecture people? I have only four years to go!
