I think I bogarted all the sleep - I had a long afternoon nap most of the days of my vacation on top of 7 or 8 hours a night. Now I have to get used to staying awake through the workday again.

I think the sedative may still be affecting me today. I'm back at work but feel a little off.

I told myself that I would go to bed early last night. Guess who has two thumbs and did not go to bed early last night?
Yeah.
It seems that the only way I can get a restful night's sleep is to go to bed by 10pm and get up by 6:30. If I stay up later or sleep later, I'm cranky and tired the next day. I feel that that's just ridiculous and my pineal gland is entirely too picky.
And then there are the cats, who all too often are awake and boisterous from around 4-7am, and who insist on fighting and yelling in my bedroom. Because they love me.
