Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

This is why I'm kinda ignoring my work To Do List in favor of my personal To Do List.

I'd like to do this but unfortunately in the week I was out, my boss decided to pull a hail-mary-come-to-jesus with one of the troublesome teams and this means I have a meeting with them and Hubble's god tomorrow morning. Sheeeit.

And I felt off all day. Swim verified it. Not sure if it is the crap air quality, reaction to doing leaves yesterday or what. But I'm oddly lacking in stamina. Bah. Can't get sick until after Thursday!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Two days into December, and I already lost the Little Drummer Boy game.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've avoided LDB by dint of staying at home, and only listening to my iTunes.

I can only ascribe the popularity of LDB by all the drummers in bands out there who feel unappreciated for all they do, and their bandmates who feel like making it up to them. For all that, LDB doesn't feature much in the way to show off the work of the actual drummer.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We're watching the more modern Charlie Brown Christmas stuff (AFTER A Charlie Brown Christmas), and I'm hoping it doesn't have LDB in it. I may be out of the game soon. We'll see.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Does it count if I heard it while flipping through radio stations, and only heard a few seconds of it? If so, then I'm out, too.

I think I'm going to need liquor to get through this football game.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Gave myself a second degree burn on my pinkie with a glue gun, had a "volunteer" come in and heckle me for a half hour before he realized that he was unwelcome, new boss spent almost four hours driving to businesses that had moved (but not posted the move on their website, or mentioned it in my phonecalls to them). Thank bejeebus that the intern seems to have an artistic eye and is actually being helpful in creating stuff to sell (like, way better than what I've churned out so far).

One and a half days left to get everything done, essentially.

Okay, no LDB on the Charlie Brown thing. I'm still in.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think I'm going to need liquor to get through this football game.

You know, that hadn't occurred to me, but now that you mention it, whiskey's a very attractive option.

Because books.

I actually listened to the David Bowie/Bing Crosby "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth" on purpose the other day, so I guess I was always out?
