They pay me in WOIMS

How far are you from the T, Jesse?

Thanksgiving has totally fucked up my appetite. I get ravenously hungry, then I get full after eating two bites, then I get hungry again an hour later.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Close -- it's like a 7 minute walk. But I thought maybe taking the bus made sense? (I think it does not.) Also, I almost walked out of the house with no makeup on.

I get ravenously hungry, then I get full after eating two bites, then I get hungry again an hour later.

That was me all day on Friday! I got over it, though.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am hungry this morning but that could be normal. Anyhoo, eating breakfast before showering today.

I am resentful that I need to go into work today. That's a problem, right? Most stressful Thanksgiving holiday in a long while. I think I got about 2-3 hours max of actual relaxation in the whole five days (apart from actually being asleep).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oof. I'm really tired for some reason. I considered calling in sick and staying home, but I managed to scrape together enough energy to make it in.

We saw my dad yesterday morning and he was much more coherent. Of course he didn't remember anything from the previous night. We were surprised that they were starting him on PT (trying to get him to walk) the day after the surgery.

Work is slow today, so maybe I can get a bunch of online x-mas shopping done.

I am so glad I did a bunch of the month end stuff on Tuesday when I was in. This morning has gone so much smoother than if I was trying to get that done. 1 guy is out, another guy was in late due to a funeral (18 year old cousin killed over the weekend on a motorcycle accident).

I'll actually be in town during the extended family Christmas, which I usually get to escape. Is it wrong that I'm delighted that this year we're collecting money to give to charity rather than doing the white elephant exchange?

Oh god, I wish my family were doing anything other than giving a present to every other person! Charity would be perfect.

We do that for immediate family, Jesse, but my extended family is too big.

Nobody ever wants what I bring to the exchange, and I always end up with something weird that I either donate or toss in the trash, so I'd rather just skip the exchange and go straight to donating.

It will probably just be 4 of us at Christmas. No one in the family really travels to extended family anymore.
