Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My GP does a mole check as part of my annual physical. We removed one a couple of years ago (benign).

Teppy, may your ego heal quickly along with the aches and pains. And yes, black eyes can follow a broken nose. When K-Bug was playing softball we saw a girl take a line drive to the nose. We saw her the next day and she had two black eyes with a very swollen nose. She wore them as a badge of honor.

Beverley, more quick healing ~ma to H.

I have started a pot if chili, small business shopped, cleaned the living room, and wrestled the tree in the house. Need to get that set and then haul in decoration boxes. Neither kid is around to help and I'm both happy and depressed by that fact.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So of course, the furniture that I was told was empty was only 75% empty. So I did some sorting and some crying, but at least I found my grandmother's diamond earrings. And a piece of rock my great-grandmother got from Lourdes?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thinking good recovery thoughts for Steph and Bev's H.

Oh Jesse, you might be bumping into a few more treasures as you unpack. But it sounds like all in all it's going well.

Eek. Yes, good thing the stuff didn't get given away with diamond earrings inside or something!

Am in the airport. Do not really want to be on a plane for five-six hours. Also, am needing to pee all the time today, I think because I took Sudafed earlier, but that's awkward on a plane. Also when I am thirsty because the air is dry, so I drink lots of water. But on the good side, I made another batch of chex mix right before I left and have a bag of that. Yum yum yum.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I did nothing the last two days except go to a diner for Thanksgiving dinner.

My dad fell and broke his hip last night. He's in surgery now getting a hip replacement. I drove up to Appleton to see hm after surgery, but it started four hours late so I'll be waiting for awhile.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What is with all the breaking bones and injuries?!!

Be careful out there! t /Hill Street Blues

We're waiting for JZ's brother and wife and child to come visit. Matilda is all dressed up for her little cousin's arrival.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yikes, stay safe, everyone!

'Suela, your hair looks FABULOUS! Holy cow, I am jealous.

We went to the bookstore and the crepe place this morning, and now I've spent much of the afternoon lounging on the couch nursing a cold while M and my parents entertained Rose. About to head out to get some yummy Indian food for dinner, and hoping I get a better night's sleep tonight.

In other news, I'm basically in love with the kale salad I made for TG. It was pretty easy, reasonably healthy, and super tasty. I foresee many more nights of this salad in our future. (For those who are curious: 1 bunch of dino/lacinto kale, cut into little strips; about a half cup of chopped toasted almonds; a bunch of dried cranberries; parmesan cheese; dressing with olive oil, a good amount of fresh lemon juice, 1 garlic clove, 1 shallot, salt&pepper. So good!)

Kate, do you need to massage the kale or something? I've heard that about kale and it sounds complicated to me, but I need to eat more salad.

Tommy, hope all is quickly healed over there!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, Kate, that sounds yummy.

Ouch, Tommy.

Yipes, Dana!

Aww, Jesse. I was wondering if you were going to be having some mixed feelings moving into your grandma's place. But I'm glad for you overall.

So I lounged around most of the day but I did manage to clear out and repair my pantry. I have less illusory (read: expired) food now, but much more actual, useable, accessible food that I now know is there. So yay.
