Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

I am home!

...and just in time, it seems. Yikes, Kat! I'm glad you got another stamp?

I hope the rest of you holidays are uneventful, Bev.

BWI baggage claim lived down to expectations.

Cats more interested in luggage than me. Figures.

well the tree got up and most of the light strung on it. A couple of items got out on shelves, but that is it. Two strands of lights are not working, so I need to check fuses and bulbs tomorrow.

ALso tomorrow all the outdoor stuff, but that requires a wee bit of yard work. I did sweep up one bag of leaves from the driveway today, so a bit has been done, but canna lilies need to be cut and lawn needs mowing, and bushes need trimming. honestly should only take a couple of hours.

mac is at grandparents for a sleepover so possibly I get up and take care of it, but also possibly I sleep in and get mad at self for not doing stuff. ugh.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Despite striking out with the brick and mortar shopping this morning (well, except what I did for my cats' benefit), I have now bought all but two of the Christmas gifts I need to get this year. I almost got this for best friend's wife, but the size seemed too small to be practical as a purse.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That bag is hilarious, but I would be afraid people would want to talk to me about it.

I wonder where I stashed my tree. I don't think I've put one up since I got Rosie & Gilda. It's only 3' tall and doesn't have a very sturdy base. I do kind of miss all my penguin ornaments though. Maybe I'll give it a shot this weekend.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I need to start decorating tomorrow. I had planned on doing it today but laziness and date nervousness took over.

The date was nice. Lots of taking, no awkwardness there. But no spark. I knew it for sure when we were saying goodbye and my brain was hoping he wouldn't try for a kiss. I think he'd be a great friend. I just need to find a way to communicate that.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Awesome fail, parents of belle, awesome fail.

Tell him you had fun, look forward to whatever (friends, local stuff, averting the apocalypse) but weren't sensing a love match, Suzi?

I'm only good at this when uninvolved.

I donated or ditched my holiday stuff. Mostly I want solar glow lighting. But not holiday stuff. Just lights that suck up up the sun and barf light at night in a lovely pattern.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Indoor northern lights, Cass? Pretty!

He called from his room, adorably woozy and talkative. The surgeon was supposed to give me details, but he never called. H solemnly promised retribution. He's doing well, and feeling *no* pain right now. Tomorrow, well, we'll see.
