I have a date in about an hour. I repeat, a date. I'm kinda flipping out and am trying not to nervous myself into an anxiety attack. We have been talking online for a few weeks and we get along great. But I get no spark from his pictures, so who knows. I haven't dated in YEARS. Eeeeeep.

msbelle, my mother started a new thing, semi by necessity, where she does some of the decorating every weekend, and now she likes it, because the season builds up.
OK. I think it's two more boxes for the kitchen, one for the bathroom, and one of misc. Not bad! I've been remarkably calm about this whole thing, and am only really over it now. So I'm going to have dinner.

I want to have a Christmas tree SO MUCH this year, but I don't know if the kittens of chaos are ready to experience one yet. We haven't put one up since we got them two years ago; Vlad is enormous and not only capable of knocking over chairs, but apparently thinks it's the best game ever.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that none of the people I could see wiped their faces at "I'm not gonna spend my life being a color." It's because they are too young to know the video, right?? Because who could resist that? I almost did it, and I was sitting there alone!

We've used eyebolts in the walls and heavy-duty fishing line to help secure a tree in the past, and we haven't used breakable ornaments in years. But I am still a little worried about Vlad's capacity for destruction. But I think we ARE going to put the tree up this year, because I miss having one.
