I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Maybe not mixing fancy drinks, but opening wine, pouring beer and champagne properly, mixing liquor+chaser-

Pouring a proper gin and tonic was most definitely part of our upbringing.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I like the Leatherman(s), because if you have pliers, you find that you have about a hundred uses for them that you never knew you needed. They make a whole bunch of "gripping" or "getting into a tight spot" situations, much much easier.

I've somehow ended up with one Swiss Army knife, one full-size Leatherman, and two mini-"Leatherman" alternate devices (one made by Brookstone, with a dear little detachable LED flashlight). The Brookstone I carry in my purse and amazes everyone when you take it out to deal with a Situation.

I should start packing, shouldn't I?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I should start packing, shouldn't I?

Is there some threat in your neighbourhood you're not telling us about?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Do you have a flight in less than 3 hours? If no, I say you're fine.

I need to keep packing my stupid apartment. I've been up for three hours and haven't done anything!

Also, I guess it's time to bring out the puffy coat -- we will not get up to freezing today. Brrr!

Because books.

I think the high here is supposed to be 32. Last Sunday I was out without even a sweater.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Same here, Amy. Per the weather app on my phone, it's 21 degrees outside. I have no desire to go verify that for myself.

Because books.

Me either. The wind is actually howling. But Sara and I were given tickets to see Elf at the Walnut Street Theater (one of her friends from school is in the show), so we will be braving the weather and the city a little later.

Brrrr!

It somehow feels like failure to me to pull out the big coat. But I was the dope who left for school every day of the year with wet hair as a kid, so.
