Thanks everyone. Definite combination of fear and excitement.

Yay, Sue! If you want to send the names of the people with whom you'll be interviewing, I can ask my DH if he knows them. If he doesn't, he almost certainly knows someone who does.

Thanks! I will ask when they give me a date.

I actually have a friend of a friend who worked in the archives who said it wasn't a great place to work. I am trying to get my friend to pump her for details. I am at the point with my job where I can't believe it could be worse than here.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo, Sue! Good luck!

(When I told my one coworker where I was going, her face fell and she said, "You should have talked to me first!" And then we figured out that most of the people she was worried about are gone now.)

I'm dressed in grown up clothes at a professional conference. I have a cold and the elevation is making my ear hurt.

I know my bosses are going to freak if I leave. I haven't said anything to them yet. But two people are retiring in the next few months and it leaves me as the most senior person here. Everyone else are relatively new hires. I know I don't owe them anything, but still the Catholic guilt is strong. But mostly it's for the new people, who are all really great so far.

Aw, thanks msbelle.

BOO on issues. Bah Bah Bah BE GONE!

ION, I AM going to get through papers on my desk today.

They multiplied and created disastourous mixed up piles last week, but I stayed late on Sat and got one type of papers organized to deal with this morning and now those are processed and ordered and ready to be filed.

What is left is a mishmash of invoices, HR papers, tolltags, and stuff I am not sure what to do with. One at a time until the paper is off my desk, I WILL get through them.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm about to undertake the start of an Onerous Task that might stretch on for days. (So embarrassing that I don't want to specify.) Brave-ma requested.
