Woo hoo, Sue! Good luck!
(When I told my one coworker where I was going, her face fell and she said, "You should have talked to me first!" And then we figured out that most of the people she was worried about are gone now.)
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I'm dressed in grown up clothes at a professional conference. I have a cold and the elevation is making my ear hurt.

I know my bosses are going to freak if I leave. I haven't said anything to them yet. But two people are retiring in the next few months and it leaves me as the most senior person here. Everyone else are relatively new hires. I know I don't owe them anything, but still the Catholic guilt is strong. But mostly it's for the new people, who are all really great so far.
NO GUILT SUE! You do what is est for you, you have endured crappy workplace long enough.
I am so glad you are shortlisted, because you are awesome and fun and YAY!!!
Aw, thanks msbelle.
Oh, I have so pre-guilted myself. I can't even go into my mother abandoning issues.
BOO on issues. Bah Bah Bah BE GONE!
ION, I AM going to get through papers on my desk today.
They multiplied and created disastourous mixed up piles last week, but I stayed late on Sat and got one type of papers organized to deal with this morning and now those are processed and ordered and ready to be filed.
What is left is a mishmash of invoices, HR papers, tolltags, and stuff I am not sure what to do with. One at a time until the paper is off my desk, I WILL get through them.
I'm about to undertake the start of an Onerous Task that might stretch on for days. (So embarrassing that I don't want to specify.) Brave-ma requested.
BOO on issues. Bah Bah Bah BE GONE!
Oh man -- wouldn't it be amazing if it were that easy???
Good luck, Theo!
Theo, be brave. YOU CAN DO IT!!
Headache is trying to take over my brain. I do not have time or energy for this.
Tomorrow I'm off for another two day Salt Lake City visit. Then Thursday morning I have a meeting with CJ's counselor to go over school stuff and complain about his Chemistry teacher. Oh, and today, afterwork, CJ and I get to learn how to give me B12 shots at home.
Cave. I wants it.
