My dryer may be working! I cleared the lint that had accumulated at the exhaust vent (not a thing I would want to try to do in the dark, nor a thing I knew would cause this problem until after three or four Googles for help) and now the dryer has been happily spinning with the heat on for well over two minutes. Huzzah for the dry clothes!

Happy Birthday Hil!

I went to my twice-postponed mammography, which they schedule for 6 in the evening. The drive through rush-hour traffic was more stressful than the actual procedure.

The stickers they use on your skin are pastel-colored with little flowers on them. I suppose I should be grateful that some idealistic bureaucrat tried to make the process nicer, but honestly heating the clamp would have done more for my comfort.

Great Goddess, I'm tired of the Christmas shopping spam in my email.

My new jeans are kinda loose. I have to assume it's the stretch they get when they're not just out of the drier, because if I lost more weight, that's not good.

Load of laundry dry and warm!

I'm not going to wash more tonight, though. I'm tired and there's some sorting that would have to be done. Just knowing I can is going to have to do.

It is 6:45pm, and the postal truck has JUST gone down one side of our block. I am not impressed with our new postal guy.

ETA: at least he didn't mis-deliver anything that I know of this time, unlike twice last week?

Tim is having a gum graft procedure Friday, and although the dentist told him that there should be no pain, other than feeling like a pizza burn on the roof of the mouth (that's where the graft is taken from),
