We got an Elantra GT hatchback
Hey, that's what I have! It's a good reliable car. I too am glad you're all in a solid vehicle.
Yay Liese! Not avoidy is better. And I say that as the queen of avoidy.
Echoing that. I'd fight for the title of queen of avoidy, but, you know...
It looks like my aunt wants me to stay over another day. It seems as though once a relative is over 80, I am helpless to say No unless immediate death or dismemberment results.
and forced me to eat high glycemic and other migraine trigger foods

2 extra large bags of leaves and one locked-self-out-of-house later....
Thank goodness I have keys seeded throughout the 'hood. Back in within minutes.
Pool next...
And I'm pretty sure when I get back from the pool, the amount of leaves that will have accumulated will make me bang my head on the sidewalk.
Today began with a run out to the deli for bagels and lox, so that was nice. And it will be nice later when I go to see the opera. Right now it's seguing into writing my sister's obit, which is triggering my don't wannas.
People not signed up, get thee to press, click the link and sign up! I am away all afternoon and I expect to see at least 5 new participants when I get back. Don't make me come back there.
Mac and I are off to see 100year old GG.
I have a pumpkin bread in the oven and need to get in the shower so I'm ready to have coffee with a friend.

Did the e-Cart option for grocery shopping, which worked out well, so that's done. Now my car is making a funny noise. It sounds tire or wheel related but I can't see anything, I guess I will need to take it in somewhere and get it looked at. Tomorrow after work will have to be soon enough for that.
This is why I put "have a cup of tea" on my To Do List.

And they were wearing high heels!!! :collapses in sobs:
It's remarkable how little "fashion" I see in my normal home -> office little life. I really wanted to take pictures of many of the women there--I'd have settled for their shoes--they were a mix of fascinating, covetable (what's the noun for that?), and vicariously painful (still can't push off the right foot, so heels, no). And skirts! Short! With bare legs! I felt I was looking up so much jailbait crotch.
I wouldn't have been the only photographer--I saw a paparazzo (I just realise I was reading a story this morning that pluralised it to paparazzos--that can't happen often...) around the corner when I was leaving, not that I have any idea who that massive lens was for. I do not know what makes that Urth such a draw, but the entire TMZ tour bus waved on their way by too (I wonder if they report to paps for further deets, if there's stuff they can't grab as they drive by...). Still my favourite though. One of the few LA zoos I can afford and get through the door of.
I share your fascination with that particular Urth, ita.
Obit is written, or at least drafted. Check.
I've been wanting to bake that apple pie cake, and I've bought the apples, but not sure I have the time to assemble and bake it. Hrm. But if I did, there'd be cake. And pie. That's a big motivator.
