Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am one of those people that has in years past been done with Holiday shopping by now. This year I have a Starbucks gift card for my mom's stocking and that is it!

Prompted by the exchange starting, I just bought something for mac. Not even a full gift in itself, but a partial.

It has started.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle, you are awful.

It's weird--I can get that people are phobic about, say, spiders, that what I think is icky is for them a departure of both reason and composure.

But I'd never heard of the honeycomb thing before, never even imagined it, so it took a lot of laughing before I took her even slightly seriously.

Now I can stare at some of her triggers and not understand it, but be grossed out nonetheless...all those little holes!

I feel like inhaling and exhaling is making this migraine hurt more. It is true that if I stopped either (or both) the pain should go away, but I don't think that's what the diagnosticians have in mind by "What makes the pain better or worse?"

I'm back to gagging with nausea, but at least it's time for more steroids. Those absolutely will work right away, right??

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just did step-one of CJ's present. I was fiddling on Pricerline, entered a joke price for the trip I want to take and it was accepted. So, hotel is set. We are driving, so I'll buy some gas cards or come up with something to represent the gas money for the trip... Wheeeeeeeeeee.

All your fault, msbelle.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Something that can really help is to pick a recording where you like the singer's sound, and work on imitating it. It can be easier to match a good sound than to try to figure it out on your own.

I suppose I should pick something other than MCR and Fall Out Boy to sing along to, because those aren't necessarily going to help me get my soprano range back.

I sang in at least two choirs all through school, straight through college, and I miss it.

Naturally, since we live in the future, it looks like there's plenty of warm-ups available on YouTube.

Oh yay! I didn't even think of looking on the YouTubes for vocal warm-ups!

only good things are my fault.

I have succeeded in actually getting some things done today, but I am not gonna lie, not my most productive day.

I am having dinner with grown-ups tonight and I feel unattractive and blah. I think I need to change clothes before I head out.

Hubby was talking to the doctor about some stubborn, ongoing things, and Doc said, "Well, cutting off your head would help, though it would sting for a few seconds." Hubby agreed it would work, then they both acknowledged it's a last ditch kind of option.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There's a volunteer choir in town, but you have to pay to join. No thanks.

That's how you get a good conductor and accompanist, though -- you pay them.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Hi Javachik!

I sing with a community choir which is part of an international network - the website has a directory of choirs that belong to it. There might be something near you.

I'm about to head out to my voice lesson, so this is all very topical.

Hah. But no. Today that's not happening unless you bear drugs that knock me out. Speaking of which, that's about all I have open to me right now--maybe I can take an Ambien and fall asleep.
