I have Holiday Party problems... The BigBoss used to subsidize the library party - where for the past 30 years there has always been BBQ - to the tune of about $1K. While everyone would understand that the BigBoss, with his BigSalary, is no longer around to do that, and that the University has said no parties with university funds, it still breaks my little black heart to offer this staff nothing but a cookie and a shrug.
They are being asked to bake for the school's party, our Thanksgiving thing is traditionally a pot luck, and we have a retirement thing they are also being asked to contribute to -- so I hate to ask them again.
I'll discuss this in a meeting tomorrow with the department heads, but any ideas from creative thinkers would be appreciated . . .
charge the business school and see if anyone notices.
Oh, my god, I just had the best massage. I am a puddle of goo. I will be a puddle of pain tomorrow in certain areas, but so worth it.
