Has there been some sort of bump in visibility for Gothic Charm School that I'm not aware of? Because I was just contacted by the THIRD casting agent/casting director in two weeks with questions about finding goth or alternative types for reality shows and commercials.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
On tenterhooks waiting for results of Virginia election.
I think plain or cutesy underwear is one thing (Christmas boxers, "worlds best grandma" sleep shirt, six pack of basic cotton for a stocking-stuffer) but sexy stuff is a big NO.
Yeah, it's the sexiness of the thong, and the randomness of the gift from an acquaintance at the gym, that threw me. Also, in my head there's a distinction between everyday underwear and lingerie, which probably means I don't wear enough lingerie, but that's another discussion.
It does smack of "I had a spare thong and thought of you." Which is icky.

At this point I'd say your Goth expertise is available for: (Think of an hourly rate. Double it.)

Hmm. Is that how the industry works? Because if it does, then heck yeah I'll do that. I have a list of shiny things I would like to purchase, and if being a Professional Goth will get them for me, awesome!
Actually, this is a serious question, and I should probably talk to people who work in TV and entertainment. Can anyone give me a pointer to who I should be asking this stuff?
Here was an article about goth in the NYTimes, maybe that prompted it?
I have a friend who is a casting director, Jilli. She'd probably know. Not sure if she charges for consultations however.
I am at that point where it doesn't matter if I believe I deserve pain control, because I'm either already in a situation where those in control don't believe that, or about to take a big risk.
I was at St Johns a couple weeks ago. I don't want to go back. I had a message sent to my neuro two hours ago (he decided to half medicate my shoulder-I feel lucky, so lucky). But right now I have one of those headaches that come with shaking. And I still don't know how to make that go away on my own.
Burrell, if you have the chance, would you please ask your friend if she charges for consultations? No worries if you aren't able to, but if it would be a good distraction for you for a moment, that would be great.
