Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If I get this [link] for my nephew everyone will hate me, right? Except Grandpa. Grandpa will be highly amused. I may just get it anyway.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If nothing else, sharing a notebook is like letting guests into your home--tidying is a good idea even if they're not looking around. All the clipped recipes lying around the kitchen? Filed. The recipe my mother just told me over the phone? Handwritten into Lecture Notes, exported into Evernote.

Technology is some shit.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Shit, I want that for myself!

Damn, I think Tyler has aged out of the maximum point of glee for something like that. At 3, he would have ADORED.

My nephew is 13. I still think he'll dig it. I doubt his mother will let it into her house though.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

number slut!

Also,

Is it a trope with only two known instances? Otherwise I'd say the FF scene was an homage to B7.

I have a vague memory of a similar instance in "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" and a much surer recollection of one from "Due South".

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My nephews are well beyond the 13 age, but I might get that for them anyhow, as long as I get to play with it first.

I really don't like that kitchen with the distressed wood, and a bunch of the layout of that house would annoy me -- useless balconies, overhangs and so on.

I am thinking of getting that for my husband, and he's 45.

Oh! I can't believe I didn't say this last night: There was live music in my supermarket yesterday. What?? It was very nice, but what??
