Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I admit, I always think of him as Smash. I should at least think of him as Gaius if I'm not going to remember his last name (or his character's name, but I can blame that on Yang). Gaius is memorable.
Woe for the blisters! I am rooting for your heretofore cunningly concealed craftiness to emerge, Jesse.
That's why I avoid being crafty, Jesse. Then again, I'm always envious of the crafty projects.
I do think it would be cute in the end, and the stuff won't go bad if I don't work on it for months, so. (It occurs to me that next weekend, I should start packing. Oy.)
For some reason I can't see your shared notebook on my tablet, -t. I have no idea what's up with that. Maybe I need to click on the link from there too.
Woe is me. I have a ticket for today's Frankenstein screening, and I'm pretty fucking sure I'm not making it downtown two hours from now. This is slightly mitigated by having a ticket for the reverse cast at the end of November, but still...I wish I had the oomph.
Hit something with my car today! Someone parked a motorbike in the same parking spot as my car and I knocked it over getting out of the spot. With a passerby's help it was righted, and I left a note with my number, but I'm giving less and less fuck since WHAT IS THAT?
Weird, I can see yours on all my devices without doing anything extra. That I know of. Let me know if there's anything to be done from my end.
That is way too bad about the Frankenstein screening. Only a little too bad about the bike - parking in an already occupied spot is asking for trouble, sorry.
Being able to leave a project untouched for a while is a very important feature of craft projects.
Ugh ita, I'm sorry about both those things. I wanted to see Frankenstein with you but it became more and more apparent that today wouldn't work for me. Will try for the 30th with you.
Hopefully they realized they got what they deserved for double parking and don't call.
Talked to neighbor in the parking lot, and he asked if I ever found the paper his wife slipped into my car. I tried very hard not to say that she was full of shit. He suggested that she'd opened the door, but I lock my car up except for the cracked drivers window. Then I got caught up on his opinions about gas pricing, social security, license requirement for popping out babies, and food stamps. Thankfully his stepdaughter came home and I was, once again, able to break away gracefully.
I bought winterproof boots (for walking to the Y, market and dealing with snow, my ugly but cheap target boots of a few years now leak) and a pair of replacement lower-heeled black pumps. I tried to repair my no-brainers, but it isn't working out so well.
Funny, as much as both were necessary and I LOVE SHOES, I didn't want to spend money on shoes I need. I'd rather spend it on house-stuff. Tonight at least. Shocking!
But tomorrow I'll probably get some replacement edging to replace the stuff that got broken by TorTers. Note to self: either more sturdy for next year or block it off so they can't step over.
I'm so tired.
K and I did a StoryCorps interview today and now I feel a little gutted.
