I bought winterproof boots (for walking to the Y, market and dealing with snow, my ugly but cheap target boots of a few years now leak) and a pair of replacement lower-heeled black pumps. I tried to repair my no-brainers, but it isn't working out so well.
Funny, as much as both were necessary and I LOVE SHOES, I didn't want to spend money on shoes I need. I'd rather spend it on house-stuff. Tonight at least. Shocking!
But tomorrow I'll probably get some replacement edging to replace the stuff that got broken by TorTers. Note to self: either more sturdy for next year or block it off so they can't step over.
I'm so tired.
K and I did a StoryCorps interview today and now I feel a little gutted.
Wow, Kat. You're part of history!
I have been tagged to go to the MLA this year and interview job candidates, so now I need a proper winter coat.
I have a J. Crew wool one you can borrow. I only have worn it to inaugurations.
Also, you should totally do StoryCorps, Burrell. They are leaving LA in two weeks, but then going to Thousand Oaks.
Thanks Kat, I'd love to borrow it.
And yes, I should think about doing StoryCorps. Hrmmm.
I have a Russian army surplus one that you can...well, you could, but you shouldn't. Even if you didn't have a stylish previous offer. It's a bit heavy. And Cyrillic.
Yikes, Brenda!
I'm sorry, ita, they were parked in your same spot? How? and what jerks!
I saw Frankenstein with Cumbercookies as the Monster, and I wish I had seen it the other way round. But I do suspect that I would wish the same if I had seen him as Frankenstein.
I saw this on Tumblr and thought it was pretty cool. Good Stuff material?

I can see how condensing it all could be...oof.
How was the interview structured? I've always wondered about that.
