Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, Sue!

Librarian Warlord

Good luck, Sue!

We gave out somewhere between 200-300 pieces of candy last night. A year ago we were still in our old house 6 blocks away and we had zero kids come to the door.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Sue!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I gave away two bags, and then had to shut off the porch light because there wasn't any more, despite lots of groups still roaming the neighborhood. I knew in my heart that it was likely to be useless to drive out to the store for more, because if I did I'd be guaranteed not to get any more groups. Ah well.

I'm already back into the office candy.

Do I bring my leftover candy into the office or do I put it in my freezer? It's all chocolate if that makes a difference.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good luck, Sue! I want this for you. You deserve adventures in foreign lands.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My mind says office, but my heart says freezer. Actually, my heart says belleh.

Hey, wasn't this Hil's cousin? It's still going around! [link]

Ann, that's a ferret.

We had a lot of leftover candy -- we always buy too much, and light rain kept the numbers down a bit this year. (We seemed especially low on teenagers without costume.) Hubs cleaned out one of the veggie bins in the refrigerator for it. I think he has dreams of saving the leftovers for next year.

In other news, it's 9:15 in DC and still almost dark.

I've divided it in two: half to the office, half in the freezer.

ETA: time change is this weekend, right? I'm not entirely minding going to work in the dark, but several more months of it is going to get tiresome.
