We saw a tiny Dorothy with her sleepy!lion baby brother in a stroller, and many princesses. One kindergarten-age Thomas the Tank Engine, too -- he made sure to tell us, very seriously, that it is his favorite show. Too cute.
Lots of really awesomely carved pumpkins out there this year, too. I was impressed.
I'm sorry so many of you had bad weather! It was absurdly warm here, with a nice breeze. Almost too warm for Halloween.
But no, no lascivious behaviour involved with Oreos otherwise (I totally had to google "twerk", that's a new one on me).
You were spared Mileygate! I envy you :)
Aw, cute!
Huh, Verizon just called me up to save me money on my cell phone plan, and it's actually a pretty good deal. I'm sure there must be some kind of a catch, but whatever, easy expense reduction is easy. She kinda of sounded like she was supposed to be talking me into upgrading my phone, but she didn't push it, like, at all.
We've only had about 5 TorT groups so far, but our neighborhood skews late. I hope we get a whole bunch more as someone else did the candy shopping and bought 2X more than I would usually purchase.
Cody took the kids to go meet up with friends so I am home alone, just me, the candy bowl, the internet, and a glass of whiskey.
Sparkly pink Batman! She was here twice but it was a good costume. ... Upon further reflection, there are a couple of them. It's still very cute.
I am not going to make it to 8. So next year maybe 40 lbs of candy?
I hope we get a whole bunch more as someone else did the candy shopping and bought 2X more than I would usually purchase.
When we were heading home, we passed a house Sara had already visited, and the woman flagged her down because she wanted to get rid of the rest of her candy.
I hope the peace and quiet is good tonight, Burrell. The choice of beverages sounds just right.
We always fear for kids taking a tumble on our stairs (of course, they always trip on the 1" lip to the porch, not the wicked steep steps) and tonight Anna and I, perhaps fueled by alcohol and competitive spirit emboldened by the crazy cobweb graveyard with spooky flickering lights and a smoke machine(!), mused about using hamster habit-trails to create a spirally candy delivery device.
Like I said, alcohol.
It's nice enough that I decided to sit outside and watch the kidlings. There's been a lot of
"There's a WITCH over there!"
I'm giving out candy by the handful when they do come by. I think there aren't a lot of candy houses on my street but there's a whole cluster right by me, so I'm hearing the kids as they hit up 4 houses in a row.
Glad you have the internet, Burrell.
We need to know the plural of sparkly pink Batman. This is a good world.
