Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If you know you are going to freeze soup, use half the water (or omit water if you are using enough other liquids) then dilute when you serve with boiling water. (If you are eating some now, and freezing the rest, you can dilute what are serving now with boiling water too.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We will get no trick or treaters today, but I do have to leave the house, so my quicky costume is all black clothes - shirt and skits, my witch cape that has a great hood, fancy makeup and, thanks to Teppy's encouragement, my tiara.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

tiara.

ALWAYS appropriate.

It is so nasty out, people. I don't even want to go home on the bus, never mind trick or treating in this weather. And Dillo's gorgeous costume is made of cardboard, so it would be mutilated. Bah, I say.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

flea, I saw on Channel 9's website that IKEA is doing trick-or-treating from 5 to 8 tonight. No word on whether the treats are Swedish meatballs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you know you are going to freeze soup, use half the water (or omit water if you are using enough other liquids) then dilute when you serve with boiling water.

There wasn't enough liquid in this recipe that all of the ingredients would have been covered with half the water.

Someone just came by and handed me an article! The old guy here that everyone loves (and he knows everyone's names and uses them in every conversation with you) has an interest in Jamaica (or he has a topic for everyone in the company, dunno) and came by yesterday and asked if I'd be interested in an article in Caribbean suing Britain for reparations. Instead of sending me the link, he tore the article out and gave it to me physically. Even more adorable, he had to rifle through pockets full of newspaper clippings to find the right one for me.

Librarian Warlord

Our preparations for tonight started with a stop by Holli's store, where she was face painting all the kids who stopped by for free. My dragon is even more dragon-y!

I was typically interested in the idea of cellphones with curved screens when I clicked on this WSJ video review but now I'm preoccupied by how much I want the tech reporter's job. She's AWFUL. She says nothing, but with a lot of words. Literally SMH at her.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Finally saw the worker's comp appointed orthopedist and got my doctor's note for desk work for the next four weeks, yay! I was starting to get worried that since I ditched the cane that I would get rushed back to hauling wheelbarrows.

A coworker has been trying to get a communal soup-lunch going, and I felt bad for her letting me eat a small cup of her delicious Thanksgiving Everyday from King's yesterday. So I dropped twenty on two large soups from the same grocery store, then felt like a jerk because she wasn't in today. But it still hit the spot and we had a party of three on a cold rainy day with Beef & Barley and another tub of TE and yummy bread.

I was gonna wear my pirate outfit when I got into work, but totally forgot, even though it was sitting right there in my passenger seat.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

No trick or treaters yet, even though it's full dark. It's a bit rainy, but not so much you'd think we'd get a couple.
