I think I am out of apples. Mmm, turnovers.
So, one of my projects at work has been making a flowchart of our process for Latin American accounts, because it's different from US accounts in some key ways and hasn't been standardized. To that end, I met with a couple of the other key players in that area a couple of weeks ago to get their input and one of them was adamant that we needed to add two steps. So I did, and went back to her to make sure that that was what she meant and got her approval. Today, in reviewing the flowchart the head of our department says we don't need those two steps so I say, "M, there was a reason we needed those, right?" and she says, no, she doesn't do it that way. Argh. It's not even getting thrown under the bus because no one was being blamed for anything, it's just nonsensical.
But, whatever my flowchart will be slightly simpler and maybe fit more easily onto one sheet of paper.
Someone ELSE dressed in blackface? Is there a stupidity quota we haven't hit yet?
ION, stupid things my boss lady has done:
-decided that the visiting garden club would be offended by the chalk drawings on the driveway from this weekends fall festival, and so she spent time and water that is not free washing it off. I think the garden club peeps would be the best crowd to understand water conservation.
-when I brought her the high pressure nozzle, instead of using the shut off lever on the end of the hose, she sent the intern all the way over to the spigot. She made the working intern stop working while she stood and waited in order to attach the nozzle.
-when done with her silly task, she stood at the spigot and waited while the intern was made to release the pressure at the nozzle end, and then had the intern jiggle the hose for about two minutes to "get rid of all the extra water" so she, boss lady, wouldn't get sprayed when unscrewing the hose at the spigot, when leaving the other end of the hose open would have done the trick and would only have taken one person.
I think that's it for today.

Apparently we're not even close. I can't believe
two
members of the Teen Wolf cast made the same stupid call (and no, 'Colton Haynes has some non-white blood' doesn't make shit okay. *I* can dress in blackface and be offensive, for fuck's sake. But luckily I'm more a White Girls sort of a chick.)
What happened with teen wolf?
I know it's a trivial issue to find company on the internet, but this is the sort of reason I find what we're told (distinguishing that from what's actually legal) WRT mobile phone usage while driving. They're really hitting "texting while driving" hard, and I don't dispute that it's the best way to go--I just find it somewhat depressing to consider that the specific problem is so bad that a general anti-distracted-driver campaign would be considered less effective.

Colton Haynes has gone out as Mahatma Ghandi and Kanye West so far. Holland Roden was bashful in comparison--she was one of many doing tacky photo ops at "Pow Wow" party. I can't find a picture of her in specific accessory headdress, but that was the foofurrah.
Burrell, my belated condolences. Be kind to yourself.
Swim was short by kid barfing in lessons. I hate the start of a new session, there is always a new kid who hasn't acclimated/ got fed too much before lessons.
All I got.
