I did some fasting a few years ago, I don't know if it's the same as the Fasting Diet.
On the Fasting Diet you eat a normal, healthy diet 5 days a week (like a Mediterranean-type diet) and then 2 days a week you severely restrict your calories.

I like omelets if there's hot sauce in the eggs. Fucking ruined some other people's breakfasts, though. Never gave it a thought.

I have found through obsessively tracking my nutritional intake without really having much of a dietary plan per se that if I eat less than about 1000 calories in a day I feel really bad by late afternoon or so - weak and tired and fuzzy-brained and ready to cry at the drop of a hat. So doing that on purpose two days a week sounds like a really bad idea to me.
A bunch of studies say that regular fasting/calorie restriction is good for your health. Problem is most people find fasting onerous so it's hard to maintain. But just as good is fasting 12 hours every day.
~t, that's what I meant by onerous. It's hard to do, tends to make you feel bad, etc. I can't imagine fasting on a regular basis.
Lisah, I am intrigued. I have ordered the book. I actually think this is something I could do, and, god knows, I have about 30 lbs hanging around that I would be happy to see go away.
I have never met an egg I wouldn't eat, including the reconstituted ones in McMuffins. I love all eggs equally!
But my bacon must be extra crispy, verging on burned.
