This girl at school? She told me that gelatin is made from ground-up cow's feet and that every time you eat Jell-O there's some cow out there limping around without any feet. But I told her that I'm sure the cow is dead before they cut its feet off, right?

Our wings are not tired.

I'm hoping to open windows this weekend, finally. Last night when I drove home at 10:30pm it was still 79F, but it was very windy and very comfy. I hate being closed in all summer and can't wait to start living outside again. Lots of my friends got snow yesterday. The pictures were very pretty.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My friends in Tucson say that it's in the summer that you spend the most time indoors because it's so hot -- like winter in the northern climes.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I will admit to being a wuss when it comes to the cold. Heat has been on here the last couple of weeks.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Coffee: on the upside, I get a Raq this weekend, with bonus HPF and Mal entertainment.

Fun!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Huh, the socks I thought were Halloween socks (black with pumpkins) are actually Thanksgiving socks (pumpkins and cornucopia!). Oh, well, already on my feet.

I still haven't seen about getting my furnace fixed, so my heat isn't on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Truly, we live in a Golden Age.

I knew the Jetsons world would wind up in India! I mean, I didn't KNOW IT know it. But I suspected. Okay, I think my prediction was probably Japan, but that's still impressive.

What I really want is a naan-matic.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Refrigerator: Fixed.

Boxes: Still sitting at the curb, but a moving company is supposed to come get them today. I did not get one hit off Freecycle.

Me: Sick. Nice chest congestion. NOT GOOD.

I admit, I turned the heat on in September, I think. The cat was giving me sad dirty looks. And when I'm working from home, it gets cold being inside all day!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
