I suppose it would be in the poorest of taste to reinact Kind Hearts and Coronets on all those cousins and removed cousins I haven't seen in 35 years.
I'll split it with my sister.

Yay for pennies from heaven!
I'm beginning to think I should start a blog called "Fukushima Won't Kill You (But I'm Thinking About It)."
ION, I'm thinking of crocheting myself some gloves. I just measured the circumfrance of palms of my hands, and they're 8 inches, which falls in the large category of the patterns I've been looking at. I always envied the girls with the narrow delicate hands. I've got sturdy, peasant hands.

I will subscribe!

I'd subscribe.
Also it sounds like it should be a Fall Out Boy song title. Which is not a bad thing to me.
My grandma had big hands if not fingers. Now I know where I got them. They don't look big but, man, rings rarely fit. Except the one of hers that I have. Because, hey. Fingers.

Yep, so would I.

Ha! This is very true.
Kind Hearts and Coronets
I love that movie!
I'd love a blog like that, Ginger!
So, after that posting, I was on the phone and looked at the thermometer, and it had dropped 2 degrees since I last looked. Trend did not point to warming, as it might freeze tonight, is windy, and wasn't below 40 yet.
So I broke and turned on the heat. Radiators burbling, set to a mere 65, but they're still burbling. As soon as they actually started radiating, Pumpkin emerged from her down burrito and relocated to the best cat-warming one ( closest one to the boiler, thus hottest, enclosed and a towel to cuddle on.)
Didn't make it to November, but it isn't going to break 60 until next week, with multiple freeze warnings. My house maintains temps well, but not for that long against those odds.
The drawback to narrow hands and long, skinny fingers is that they're always cold. This time of year touchscreens don't always recognize my fingers as living.
I have square hands--sturdy palms, short fingers. They have done things well, though.
We keep the thermostat at 64. And have throws over every chair and sofa. When you're up doing stuff it's fine. When you sit to read or watch tv, snuggle under a throw. It works.
