The drawback to narrow hands and long, skinny fingers is that they're always cold. This time of year touchscreens don't always recognize my fingers as living.

Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have square hands--sturdy palms, short fingers. They have done things well, though.
We keep the thermostat at 64. And have throws over every chair and sofa. When you're up doing stuff it's fine. When you sit to read or watch tv, snuggle under a throw. It works.
That's what I do. I wear snuggly sweaters and flannel PJ bottoms, and I have a throw on each couch. And drink a lot of warm drinks.
When it gets REALLY cold in the winter, I put a space heater under my desk in the office, and put the flannel sheets on the bed.
We have no insulation and no central heating. The house is cold as fuck from November to February. I survive with a space heater in my room, lots of throws around the house, and warm socks.
warm socks
Indeed. I'm very grateful I live in the time of warm relatively inexpensive merino wool socks. So much more comfortable than the rag wool socks I would sometimes get when I was younger, and so much warmer than the cotton sweat socks of old, as well...
Burrell, I'm thinking about it (Nano). I would need to figure out something to write, which is kind of an issue.
I'm thinking about Nano too. I have an idea and characters that have been percolating in my head. I just don't want to put too much pressure on myself, since I'm slowwwwllyy working on getting out of the depresso utter lack of energy and motivation.
My goal is to be revising my first draft while everyone else I know is doing NaNoWriMo.
I have about 10 or so pages. It may not even make it to a novel length, I'm not sure. But I'm writing so I'll take what I can get.
Just write. Something's better than nothing.
We're on the second floor of a six floor building with steam heat, so it can get pretty warm in the winter and we end up cracking a window.
Yeah, its weird, but it keeps our skin nice.
