That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Laura, I hope everything works out okay. I also hope that hearing the same message from a new source grabs his attention.

Our wings are not tired.

Thanks all. I am hoping that at least he figured out that he can't just come and go as he pleases here. I can't really let him stay in the middle of a drug war situation because it would be best that he lives long enough to learn to be a whole adult. But he doesn't get to come back here and disrupt the peace and harmony in my home either.

He is ridiculously fortunate with opportunities. His NY aunt said he could come to the city and get a tech job easy peasy and stay with her until he gets settled. We would cover his tuition for him to get in college somewhere in another part of the state. The world is his oyster, but he still chooses the muck. Kids!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

He'll stop being an asshole yet, Laura. I'm sure of it.

Our wings are not tired.

Most of us do, Trudy. I know lots and lots of wonderful adults that were assholes at 22.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have a friend who I've known since high school, who was an enormous douchebag throughout high school, college, and somewhat beyond college. But some challenging life stuff happened, like it does for everyone, and his responses to all of it really matured him and he's turned into someone who's really fantastic and not a douchebag at all.

(Ideally, no one would need challenging situations to make them grow up, but it was nice to see this guy respond positively, instead of becoming more of an entitled dick.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh Em Gee, people. Yesterday while at work I talked with the mother of one of the individuals I work with. She is on vacation in Florida, planning to return this weekend. She teased me with the 80˚ weather and said she didn't really want to return to Minnesota, given the weather we've been having. Perfectly natural to make those kinds of jokes. But after having slept on the couch at that location because I couldn't get home last night after work due to blizzard conditions, I find I want to call her up to say "Fuck you!"

So sick of winter.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I can't remember is this was posted here or not.

But the "polar vortex" hasn't been all bad ... seemingly there's a chance that it killed off something like 95% of all the stinkbugs that were overwintering.

yeah ... that all I've got ...

Meanwhile, it's warmed up, but we're on a tornado watch in the area.

Always Anti-fascist!

The weather's nice here, too, if a little unnervingly above average, but the state's lost its damn mind for the millionth time so cannot current recvomend for Bitches. Unless we do a same-sex kiss-in on the capitol steps or something?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I was just reading about that, erika. Ai yi yi, what the hell, Country?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think I have asked this here before, but how much should I tip the woman who shampoos my hair at the hairdressers?

Laura, I'm wishing all the best for your eldest son. May his talent eventually pull him through.
