'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Wait, the 2 affair having women are taking all the kids with them! Whole thing suck, except for the lovey doves apparently.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

GC, WOW. Others closer to similar situations might want to chime in, but my first thought is, if you have the energy and time, some of the kids might want to come over to your house as a respite from the drama.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Drama is always less fun when it touches on folks you care about. How hard for those kids. I imagine that the 2 moms in question see themselves as trying to make the new home as stable as possible for the kids, but actually having to come to terms with that much change all at once can be really hard on them. Not that there's an easy way to get through a divorce. On the other hand, kids can be enormously resilient.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I don't know the specifics of the new home dynamics. We knew that one of the moms was looking for a place for her and her 2 kids, and today we found out the other mom (the one she was cheating with) is moving in, too. That mom has 3 kids. Not sure what the story is with the moving in, but it looks like she was busted by her wife and tossed out (we base this on the fact that this now ex-couple was all lovey dovey on Facebook Saturday). Oy. What a tangled web. These poor kids. I'm just... I don't even. And we are touring a pre-K with one of these fools on Friday. Don't even know WHAT to say to her, though I'm liking the Kardashian thing...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Angry because irrational as it may be, we feel like it reflects badly on us as a lesbian-led family.

I think it's just more evidence of marriage equality. Lesbian marriages have an equal chance of being messed up as any other marriage. The one lesbian divorce where I knew the people personally was certainly as much of a mess as any other divorce, with the bio-mom claiming that the adopted mom was really a mom to the kids at all and trying to use the fact that her spouse was a stay at home mom to paint her as a lazy person who didn't want to work. Much~ma to the kids and the jilted spouses.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

In other news my strep throat has fucking come back. The dr office said: we don't take walk-ins but the soonest appt they could give me was Thursday. I passed by the office on my wauI know from previous exp that I will be too miserable on Th to think I can wait that long. So now I need a non-pencillin antibio, more fucking yogurt and more probios. Bah.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I still recommend asking for Diflucan (generic name: fluconazole), especially because a second round of antibiotics can whammy the hell out of you. Your flora may barely be hanging on after the penicillin, and then a second antibiotic could come in there like napalm. And nobody wants a flamey hoo-hah.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Girl, thanks for the reminder I will ask.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Plot thickens. The PA does not think it is strep throat. Yay? I just have a virus? WTF?

meara - Feb 18, 2014 3:57:35 pm PST #9431 of 30002

Boo, so much easier to just take antibiotics, but if it's a virus that won't help. How frustrating.

Glam, I hear ya, girl. Damn, dykes be all drama.
