Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We spent all day shopping, but we finally bought an oven. Black, not glass top (no stores will insure the glass top against accidental damage, and I wasn't willing to take the chance), and it has a convection oven setting. We bought it at the Sears outlet. It was a return with a few minor scratches but otherwise perfect, and it still comes with the one year warranty. So, if something was wrong with it, we wouldn't be stuck with it.

My 92 year Mom saw Kill Your Darlings. She commented "That Radcliffe is amazing. It is hard to believe he is the same actor who played Henry Potter."

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

So...acute stabbing pain in the urethra, no burning while peeing, slight dull pain left side, middle of back, might have low-grade fever. No other symptoms, this just started about 45 minutes ago.

Drink water and wait it out, or Urgent Care?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

My cats are both busy licking their paws (noisily) on the sofa. They do get an annoyance reprieve for seeming to sense when i'm in full crisis mode and glom all over me. Last night I had both cats pinioning me into bed. Sure, it made turning over very difficult, but the syncopated purring on either side of my torso did have some comfort. I really need to brush their teeth more often, Nico's breath is truly atrocious.

Beth, it does seem like sometime the "I'm doing *something*-ness of going to the vet is reassuring, even if it is an enormous PITA. ~na for yr feverish feline.

Fever+UTI symptoms usually=infection. I'd give it a lot of water overnight then Dr in the morning if it gets worse or doesn't seem to be improving.

Those azo testing strips seem to get great as long as you aren't vegetarian (false negatives for the non meat eaters, I discovered after purchasing a box and reading all the warnings.)

Well, we got a call from the oncologist - and now we are putting Nathaniel in the hospital. Which makes sense, but he woke up and got protests on the way here.

If only he had been livelier at home, he would not be here.
