Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

These dogs would really like to take walks with you while you are taking photos and then snuggle with you at home. THEY TOLD ME SO!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

How do you guys deal with triggers over the long term? Has it been something that has gradually improved or lessened?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

For me, they just started a couple of years ago and this was only my third time where it got this bad. My plan for the long term is to take them as they come. I have my bag of tricks - breathing exercises, body awareness, finding someone to talk through it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'm sorry you had such a rough night last night, Aims.

AS A CHILD YOU WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE UNCONTROLLED EMOTIONS OF YOUR PARENTS! THEY WERE THE G-D GROWN-UPS!

I'm repeating that because *I* need to see it again. Dear Buffista parents who are aware of your issues and working on dealing with them, I love and respect you. So much.

(My parents were wonderful, but the combination of my mom's unacknowledged/unspoken about depression and her fight with leukemia means I have a lot of issues around trying to make people happy and fix everything. Working on emotional health is hard.)

So yes, fuzzy blankets and puppies and kittens and baby bats for everyone.
