I'm pretty excited that I wrote something that got published and people really seem to like it. Yay! (It's this: [link]
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay, Nora! I'm excited for you!
Lots of calm~ma, sj.
Nice one, Nora!
Way to go Nora. Not allowed alcohol, but I raise my virtual mug of virtual beer to you.
It's really good, Nora.
I was sitting at my favorite bar in Wichita with our musician buddy and a couple of his friends and he looked at the two of us and said, you are the only two women I know that like Guinness.
Which I didn't know was a thing.
I didn't know there were beers I wasn't supposed to like. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to like beer. But I learned to drink from a bunch of rowdy musicians and they never mentioned it to me, so I just tried stuff until I figured out what I liked. And it turns out, the darker the better. Which is consistent with everything else in my palate: I like bitter things. I like dark chocolate and ume and pungent cheese and black coffee and capers. Strong flavors are a-ok with me. So it's no surprise I like stouts.
How did the eye surgery go, typo? I'm assuming well, what with you posting and all.
Yeah pretty routine. Though the Medicaid experience is a bit - different than the regular doctor. [link] (warning a bit graphic, but I think the punchline is funny.)

EXACTLY!
Thanks for the love, guys - with my other writing it's very straight ahead and factual, so it doesn't get the kind of response this style of article does. So this is so cool! May need to see if I can get a middle ground to inject my own tone/personality into my more prosaic pieces.
YAY Nora. AWESOME!
YAY good eye surgery!
It is 17 and snowing and sticking and no one predicted this and we have full tankers out on the roads trying to get to job sites. They stopped loading more after I got in around 8:15, but ugh for my guys out there in it, it is slippery.
Oh no, msbelle. And the SO is there too right now.
