'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The other week I bought a thermometer for my room so I could figure out if it was actually cold sometimes and hot sometimes or if I'm just a weirdo. Well, it was between 68 and 72 the first few days. But now it's actually cold in Seattle (below freezing!) and when I got home from the airport it was 57 degrees in my bedroom. Eek! I am cozied up with an extra down blanket and two microwaved rice-pack things.
I have one that also measures humidity and keeps track of the high and low temps from the last 24 hours. I get a little obsessed with it sometimes. It's awesome.
Much calm, sj.
Calm~ma for SJ!
I'm pretty excited that I wrote something that got published and people really seem to like it. Yay! (It's this: [link]
Yay, Nora! I'm excited for you!
Lots of calm~ma, sj.
Nice one, Nora!
Way to go Nora. Not allowed alcohol, but I raise my virtual mug of virtual beer to you.
It's really good, Nora.
I was sitting at my favorite bar in Wichita with our musician buddy and a couple of his friends and he looked at the two of us and said, you are the only two women I know that like Guinness.
Which I didn't know was a thing.
I didn't know there were beers I wasn't supposed to like. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to like beer. But I learned to drink from a bunch of rowdy musicians and they never mentioned it to me, so I just tried stuff until I figured out what I liked. And it turns out, the darker the better. Which is consistent with everything else in my palate: I like bitter things. I like dark chocolate and ume and pungent cheese and black coffee and capers. Strong flavors are a-ok with me. So it's no surprise I like stouts.
How did the eye surgery go, typo? I'm assuming well, what with you posting and all.
