Oh, look at the pretties!

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

Doctors and nurses are wonderful. Insurance company decision makers are maggots. I bet their insurance doesn't have these loopholes.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

She might try Lexapro, if she hasn't already. Substantially the same as Celexa but supposed to have fewer side effects. It's also available in generic.

(I personally fare better on Celexa, but apparently the medical literature does not back me up.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

1. smonster is AWESOME.

That above all needed to be stated.

2. flea is AWESOME.

again, really needs to be stated, because support in a tangible way is moving and thoughtful and more than many of us could do.

3. this community as a whole, AWESOME.

I hope we all realize that there are people here who will help in many different ways. I cannot imagine life without this space and you people.

This is all very true and needs to be restated.

Teppy, being in an empty office is weird enough, being in your own former office while it is empty is doubly weird.

I have my cyst removal scheduled for Thursday morning. I'll try to remember to check in here as soon as I'm feeling up to it, if I sound drunk when I do check in, blame the valium they're having me take before the procedure.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I read that Costco has low-cost drugs and you do not have to be a member to get them. I read it on Tumblr, though, so I can't say if it's accurate. Might be worth looking into.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm fairly sure that's true, although I don't get my meds from Costco, so I can't verify it 100%.

Whew! I talked to my boss about the work drama, and when I told her what I'd done "so this happened, and then I did this..." she was like "...yeah, so?" and then was like "Wait, so is the project manager complaining, or just the site?" and I was like "Reallllly just the site" and she was like "Oh, OK. Yeah, be good"

...now if only that was motivation to get cracking on work. Though I do feel more awake this morning than sometimes. I gotta remember to use my blue light more often/always, I do think it helps.

smonster, I meant to say earlier that I hope today isn't too difficult for you, and that you're able to sleep tonight.

She is a member of Costco. I'll ask her.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Learned helplessness is sad to watch, Laura. And you can't fix someone who has it. Another practical suggestion that might be of use for your sister is to contact the drug manufacturer - sometimes they have coupons or vouchers for discounts. All the drug manufacturers claim that they don't want anyone going without medications just because the meds are too expensive.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I think those vouchers are usually for newer drugs that don't have generics, but you can always check.

~ma, sj. (Is it wrong that I hope you stoner post?)

You guys, really. Thank you. I'd cry again but my eyelids are just losing that bee stung look, so no. juliana, Costco had a wake up light on sale over Xmas but I was didn't budget well enough to get it. But I save my coins and trade them in with Coinstar to get Amazon gift credits, so maybe soon.

Today is going really well. I am being careful to stay focused and ask questions to make sure I'm doing what the PM thinks I should. No one is being rude or giving me sideeye. And with that lunch is over. Toodles.
