I'd do Ativan and nudge it with a small glass of wine. Pain causes you to tense and makes spasms worse. Being relaxed will legit help your back. Do you have a bathtub? Epsom soaky hot bath if you do.

Also, if you can move without intense pain, the cat and cow positions [link] in yoga are super easy and really can help. That even includes an even easier version in a chair. Very mild back stretching.

My own personal jesus, seriously. Recently started adding some coconut oil to my beautiful baths, and it has been heavenly.
I should add, not heavenly to clean after, but totes worth it.
