Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

A break is a darn good thing, Teppy, when you need it. The only suggestion I would have is--and only if you have boatloads of time to spend on it--conference with his doctor, find out for yourself, and possibly ask the doctor to relay info to Dad in a more explicit, understandable way.

Or, you know, not. You've got a lot of fraught on your plate already right now. Being a daughter and not an advisor is a sane choice.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Good luck, Teppy. I hope you can take a break . I find it difficult to keep my mouth shut, but I wish you a better zipper than I have

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I can't sleep again because every time I try to I can't stop coughing. Someone distract me from the temptation to correct ignorant relatives on Facebook.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

All I have for you is that I have succeeded in creeping myself out by reading various theories on where Amelia Earhardt went down, and decided that the cure for that was to read about efforts to locate the camera Mallory and Irvine had with them on Everest.... yeah. Not helping.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I have a pair of nasty blisters on my feet, from walking around too long in shoes with no socks today. Sometimes, I am not the brightest bulb in the box.

As I've told Emmett many time (because he's had to hear it many times): "Pain is the great teacher."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have a pair of nasty blisters on my feet, from walking around too long in shoes with no socks today. Sometimes, I am not the brightest bulb in the box.

I rubbed a spot on my toe raw because I wore new shoes out and didn't notice there was still a cardboard insert inside them. So, not the dimmest either.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of my toes is bruised and swollen, and I have no idea why. I don't remember doing anything to it. It hurts a little, but not a ton.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm having spasms of pain in my upper back so bad I can hardly move when it happens. Sometimes it wraps around to my diaphragm too. This started yesterday. It hurts to cough or sneeze. What the hell is this? I've taken some Valium to try to relax the muscles, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Do you have a heating pad, Zen? That might help.
